Good things come to those who wait!
Right?
So I posted down there, about it being a good day and one of the things was the job that i WANT/NEED opened. Well it did, and it closed and 10 days later I found out something went wrong AGAIN and now I am sitting here, again, waiting for it to open. Wait for it to close, pray it works this time. SOOO, I will be unemployed for this whole month and maybe part of next. Oh that sucks. It is sooo hard to stay positive and I want to freak out and break down and kick and scream. And well I did kinda do that last week. Then I "WO-maned up" and decided NO - I wont do this to myself or my family.
I WILL be thankful for all the things I DO have.
A wonderful husband who provides more for me and my son then I ever thought we would ever get in life. A awesome son who, even though can be a little smart mouth (he IS 13 ya know!) is caring and giving and smart and hardworking. Even the pets, while they suck alot of my energy, they are giving too and I am thankful we have them in our lives. My mom lives 30 mins away and I love that. She is my best friend and I am so glad she lives so close and always will. There are many other things too like my love for scrapping and creating and having "places" to go to for that and have others around who make me laugh or think and truly inspire me (yes, that would be the Scrapfreak - and one of these days I will figure out how to add a button to them on this blog.
I am back on the weight loss wagon again and once again wanting this badly. 10 by 35, I am calling it. That's 10 pounds (i got 31.8 to lose) by my 35th bday, September 23rd. Two days in and while the scale isn't moving, I AM eating better and sneaking in workouts. I WILL succeed at some point. I truly believe I HAVE to be a positive person for the weight loss to work. SO that's that.
So right now I am enjoying a new thing I have learned about, blog hopping! However, it gave me BAD blog envy and I really want to make this blog, mine, better, prettier, cooler so going to work on that this week.
Until next time friends *in my best newscaster voice* - stay positive, and remember, Good things come to those who wait!!!

July Freak out prize
Oh HAPPY MAIL DAY!!!!
I worked my tail off last month for the project of the month on Scrapfreak. I got well over 1000 pts and won first prize. Kim wouldn't tell me what I was winning, so I had to wait. Oh good things come to those who wait!!!
There are LARGE thickers which I love, I do have the small ones. Confetti accessory sheet on family/love and a journal card. And a title that is clear. A metal frame. The prettiest blue lace. Cheeky jigsaw shapes, flowers and buttons, stick pins, 2 packages of bling, a HOME bingo card, a small vinyl house thingy, a family sheet of cardstock stickers, a maya road house mini and my fav thing of all - - - - stamps!! A butter fly, flower and paisley(I think that is the name of it).
Seriously how can I ever express my thankfulness. It is all so rich!

I am working on this months class, which has intimidated me for the last week but I woke up with an idea to create a mini about the last year in our home here in NM. These things are going to fit perfectly with my idea. I am so excited. I have done the cover and am working on the pages now.
I couldn't be more thankful for all the inspiration that the freak gives me. I would never do many of the things I do, whether it is good or bad, if it weren't for the amazing creators on the freak.

I LOVE great days!!
While my Dh is working 12s, which stinks, today was a great day. Even though I forgot to put water in the coffee maker last night so it wasn't ready when DH got up, it was still a great day!
I got an appt with the pediatrician for the boy for a physical for school for the time I wanted.
The job I want posted and I found out it closes earlier than normal, I COULD be working by the 16th. Cross them fingers and toes please.
I caught a short nap on the couch.
I picked up a key to the thrift store (very long story but I am the hero :) )
Hung out a few mins at DHs work with his crew.
Got a $50 check (unexpected) from the thrift store.
The boys appt went well, hes growing like a weed and is officially taller than me, by an inch.
ANDDDDDDD we hit "happy hour" at Sonic and got cherry limeades on the way home.
And even though I didn't get my kit from the freak, which made me very sad, I was the winner for the summer freakout with over 1000 points. I did soo much last month. I enjoyed every minuet of it esp since I hope to be working too hard soon to scrap every day like I get to now.
just a good day. I could surly stand more of these!!!

Its August!
#1 I LOVE our home and the flag we proudly fly!!
#2 R is for relaxing in front of one of our camp fires last month.
#3 Our first night in the RV, the Cannon Escape!!!
#4 CAP - Ryan in a group pic with the Cannon, Amarillo and Lubbock squadrons.
Oh what a bad blogger I am. Half a month with no post. Shame on me. But I AM still "new" at this. Anyways the end of July was fun. We bought an RV! I cannot believe we did that and its huge. We better have it forever. Its truly is a home on wheels. We took 5 days and went north in it staying a few days in Red River where the guys fished alot (caught little), we saw lots of ducks and a herd of deer and enjoyed the outdoors. Then we headed to the more rugged part of the mountains and dry camped one night. Had a great fire and ate smores. Hope to get more weekend trips in before the bad weather sets in. Ryan had a fab time with CAP at the base outing that Rob and I both got to go on with him. He is loving CAP (civil air patrol). He has already taken his first written test and PT test and passed both with flying colors. He will have his first rank anytime along with his first ribbon for volunteering at the thrift store this summer.

Still havent found a job and that leaves lots of time to scrap. The freak had a month long scrap-a-thon and I scrapped my bootie off. I did 34 layouts and 51 cards in July. Most of the cards are for Operation Write house and I got a jump on Christmas cards which I plan to work on this week as well. I am HOPING to have a job soon and will be too busy to spend endless hours scrapping and card making so wanted to get ahead.
Ryan starts school in 2 weeks. This summer has flown. He will be an 8th grader. OH MY! We go the 16th to find out his schedule. I feel so old. He is taller than me now too which doesn't help. The thought that in 5 1/2 or so years, he wont always be around. I am not sure I want him to grow up!!!!
So I hope to blog more this month. I DO find it therapeutic and if my antics make others smile or even laugh AT me, I am OK with that :)
**I do want to post my brilliant wittiness of last month**
Our cat, well Ryan's cat, Gypsy, is an INdoor cat. No claws. But she aches to be outside with all the bugs. She will try to get out the back door as we come in and has on a few occasions before being scooped up and put back in.
One night I came in and there she sat, ready to pounce out. I told her "Girl you are an indoor cat, why do you think you need to go out there?"
From his bedroom, Ryan comments "She WAS born outside" (a stray that followed us home) and i replied with "well you were born in a hospital and you don't live THERE!"
while it might sound as funny and witty as I think it does, we all got a laugh!!
