Cards cards cards

I had mojo. I had a container full of Holiday stuff; patterned paper from the last few years, ribbon, chipboard, stickers, rub ons, stamps, you name it!! We don't usually do a whole lot at the holiday time to scrap, so if I don't make cards, I will have this container of holiday stuff FORever!

So I had a bright idea!
My Gramma in CA always gives money in cards for Christmas. She has for years.
So I thought, "I'll MAKE the cards for HER to give away! She will love them!"
Texted the idea to my favorite Aunt in the world, Suzy, and she said "OH yea she will love it"

So these are a few I did. I also added about 4 or 5 that were given to me from the Troops for the Cards as a thank you for volunteering to the ones I made. I have to mail these today!!!

this one was a quickie for me cause i actually made the front a few years ago for the 25 days of Christmas which i never completed *blush*
So i took that card apart and put it on the front of a regular card, tore off the # tag,  added the sentiment and some stickles on the stars! CUTE!

I am sure I found one like this on Pinterest - its hard to see on the picture but the tree is cut. I liked the way it looked and i love the bold colors.

This one I lifted from the Cards for Troops set. I liked how the blocks are supposed to look like a tree. its very simple! the star is foil from a piece of candy that i punched! LOOK i repurposed haha.

another one i lifted from online, not sure where. The tree and sentiment is a sticker i put on card stock and cut out.

another one i KNOW i lifted off Pinterest. its VERY busy but i think its kinda elegant too.

this one i made last year or the year before and never sent to anyone. its HEAVY so it is better to be "handed". So i thought Gramma would really appreciate the vintage look of it, esp with the yarn.

simple! my fav style!

another one i lifted from on line. I used a more muted dark green on this one. and i love the button ornaments!

this one i didn't lift! crazy right? :)
i love punching a hole in the cards to add the ribbon, it makes the inside more fun i think. used lots of scraps and the stars and sentiment are chipboard!

sooo simple! but i hand cut those trees out of PP and layered them!

gimme scrapps and i will make squares! love squares! a sticker sentiment and a chipboard tree! add a ribbon (which i am not out of :( ) and tad a cute and busy!

I flipped the layout so my 2 photos would make sense on it.
I hand stitched the circle and stars on the left corner and the title is rub ons.
The picture is my wonderful husband, myself received a letter from the President for being a military spouse and a great friend, Retired Chief Ted Millard.

ScrapMuch? Double LO sketch

AGAIN.....I get to scrap my granddaughter! and to scrap her with her Papa O is even more fun! and YUP I got to use PINK again, with some blue for Papa O!
These pics are random shots at the airport as we waited for their plane. I thought they were just too cute! I was so happy to find a sketch I could use them on all together and a double was perfect.
This sketch is from SCRAPMUCH?

I used a few more pictures but did do the banner, which is a stretch for me.
I used lots of bling and pretty-ness.
I used the blue felt ribbon (MME) that I received this week as a prize from last months challenge on ScrapMuch? and stickers from the Grandparents page from 7Gypsies.

Scrap It Girl! Recipe challenge

Scrap It Girl offers amazing challenges!
This is for this months recipe challenge and I dove right in.

September’s Recipe Challenge
Ingredients Needed:
  • Twine
  • Arrows
  • Circle
  • Bird
  • Red
I got red and white twine as borders on the red pp, and white in the buttons, i used a BIG arrow, the circles are the buttons, the title chipboard and i stickled a few too. The birds was harder for me as its not something I use much, but i found a cute bird and cloud rub on in my stash that was perfect! and the red, well you can see where I used that! I love the simplicity of my LO and my journaling is done in all alphas, one of my fav things to do!!
I used another awesome photo from

of myself, my boy and my Aunt Suzy! She is MY aunt which makes her Ryans GREAT aunt that she IS just that - GREAT, Fantastic, Awesome, Respected, Loved! She has always had a HUGE influence on me, I spent the hardest part of my "childhood" with her. She taught me so much, taught me what not to do, how to keep a house clean, be a great mom and she is the most compassionate, sweetest, funniest, most caring woman I know. She is a SAINT if you ask me!!

Piece of Scrap SKETCH-TEMBER 9th sketch - Grandpa

I LOVE doing layouts of Serenity! A - she's stinkin the cutest thing ever B-I can use PINK!!! and to do a layout of her and her Papa O is just the icing on the cupcake!!!

This is a professional photo done by the amazing Stewie B
taken in March of this year.

I LOVE this layout cause I finally overcame my fear (for now!) of paper like this. I adore it but MAN, it freaks me out. How do I do it justice? But i hope i did. POS is doing an awesome crop and this is for one of the sketches provided over there.
